FAQ's

Everything we cut from your tree is recycled. All the branches up to 10 inches in diameter are chipped on site and fired straight back into the back of our purpose-built truck. These wood chips are then used by a power station in Chester as bio fuel

For logs that can’t be chipped, we can ring these up for you to keep as firewood or we can take it all away.

If access allows, the really big sections of the tree trunk can be carved into sculptures.

Yes. We take it all away and leave your garden super-tidy. If you want to keep the woodchips or logs from your tree just ask and we can do that too.

Your tree can be protected if it is covered by a Tree Preservation Order or is situated within a Conservation Area.

A tree preservation order is an order made by the Council which in general makes it an offence to cut down, top, lop, uproot, willfully damage or willfully destroy a tree without the planning authority’s permission.

Any tree works can be appealed for by completing the relevant application form, specifying the trees, what you want to do and why. These forms can be downloaded here:

It is practically impossible for tree roots to actually break into drains and associated pipework. It is much easier for the roots to simply grow around the pipe and carry on growing past it.
However, if an old rusty pipe with poor joints is leaking into the surrounding soil this will attract tree roots like bees to honey, which will then exploit the existing weakness.

Replacement of faulty drains/pipes with modern plastic materials will eliminate the leak and stop problems from happening again.

Lack of training and experience can lead to serious damage to your tree or even damage to your property or the people around you.

A tree can be taken down section by section by our trained climbers, or if space allows, we can bring in a crane and remove the tree all in one go.

If you are having your tree removed, we can use our stump grinder machine to remove the stump upon request.

Crown thining can decrease the chance of a tree blowing over in harsh weather conditions. This is because crown thining increases wind access through the canopy.

Removing dead branches can reduce the risk of branches falling, damaging property, causing obstruction, or injuring people.

Crown thinning can allow more daylight to pass through its canopy.
